Terms of use
1. Agreement
These terms form an agreement between you and Clipwright, made by Faiza, about your use of the Clipwright app for iPhone. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Clipwright on devices you own or control, in line with these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
3. Your content
You keep the rights to the videos, photos, audio and text you import or create. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use them in the way you do. We do not claim any rights to your content.
4. Exports
You own the videos you export. Any photos or other material from Clipwright that you include in an export remain subject to their own licences, listed on the credits page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Clipwright to make or share content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, is harassing or threatening, or puts other people at risk. You also agree not to interfere with the app or with any caption server.
6. Captions
Captions are made by a caption server. Availability and speed depend on that server, which may be run by you or by someone else. Speech recognition and translation are automatic and can make mistakes. Check captions before you publish them. See the privacy policy for what is sent to the server.
7. Third-party content
The app includes photos from Wikimedia Commons under the licences listed on the photo credits page. Those licences apply to the photos, and you must follow them if you reuse a photo outside the app. Fonts come from iOS or from their own licences.
8. Purchases
Clipwright is provided as described in the App Store listing. If the app offers paid features in future, purchases are made through Apple, and Apple's terms apply to them.
9. No warranty
Clipwright is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the app will always work, be free of errors, or suit a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost footage or lost captions, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Clipwright at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the app or change it, and we may end your licence if you break these terms.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. We will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the developer is resident.
